- Sergeant Dmytro Samborskyy (call sign Simba) was killed on October 7, 2023 near the city of Huliaipole in the Zaporizhzhia region. He sustained multiple shrapnel wounds during an artillery barrage. Dmytro was to have turned 31 years old on November 7. He was from the city of Tlumach in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. In his childhood, he practiced karate and won awards in this sport. He graduated from a vocational school for automotive transport and construction, where he obtained qualifications as a car mechanic, driver of vehicles in categories "B" and "C". For half a year, he worked at the "Skloresurs" enterprise in his hometown, later he traveled with his wife to work abroad - to Poland and the Czech Republic. He worked there at factories or construction sites. On the eve of the full-scale war, he worked as a taxi driver. He loved fishing and participated in competitions. "Two days before the full-scale invasion, the man went to the military enlistment office, signed up as a driver. And when it all started, he took up the defense of Ukraine as part of the 102nd Territorial Defense Brigade, where he was the commander of a rifle squad," his wife Natalia said. Dmytro was buried in his hometown. He is survived by his wife, son, daughter, mother and brother.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
