Dmytro S. Holubovskyi

Born on May 24, 1966, in the village of Koropets, Monastyryskyi district, Ternopil region. From 1973 to 1981, he studied at the local secondary school, later at Ivano-Frankivsk Vocational Technical School No. 3. In 1984, he was drafted into the army. After serving, he returned home and worked in the city of Ivano-Frankivsk at a furniture factory. In the 1990s, he moved to southern Ukraine for seasonal work. He lived in the Bratsky district of Mykolaiv region, and since 2001, in the village of Novohryhorivka, Mykolaiv district, Mykolaiv region. On May 13, 2014, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a driver-paramedic in the 19th battalion of territorial defense of Mykolaiv region of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (since November 2014, the 19th separate motorized infantry battalion of the 40th separate artillery brigade of the ground forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine). On September 15, 2014, he was killed during a shelling ambush by pro-Russian terrorists in the area of the village of Hranitne, Telmanivskyi district, Donetsk region, while returning to his unit in a vehicle after evacuating the wounded.
