- Dmytro Lisen (call sign Fox), a defender of Mariupol, was killed on April 15, 2022 in the city of Mariupol, Donetsk region. During the transfer on armored personnel carriers to the post-bridge near "Azovstal", the column came under fire. The soldier was 37 years old. Dmytro was born in Mariupol in a large family. In his hometown, he graduated from the Priazovsky State Technical University with a degree in "Ferrous Metallurgy". He worked at the Ilyich Iron and Steel Works, later taking the position of an engineer at the Ukrainian Institute of Steel Structures named after V.M. Shymanovskyi. In 2014, Dmytro took up the defense of the country. After a year, he returned to civilian life. He obtained a second higher education at the O.M. Beketov National University of Urban Economy in Kharkiv, majoring in "Construction and Civil Engineering". He worked as a chief designer at an enterprise in Mariupol. Before the invasion, he held the position of a leading engineer at Metinvest-Engineering LLC in Dnipro. "We are very proud of him! He never raised his voice at us, he was always polite. We love him very much, like our other children. Dmytro treated us with respect, with love and tenderness - to his wife and children. He was very responsible, calm and balanced. He always tried to achieve his goal. His colleagues valued the son. They respected him for his fairness," said his mother Alla. On February 26, 2022, Sergeant Dmytro Lisen returned to service. He defended Ukraine as part of the special purpose unit "Azov". He was a telephone operator of the communications platoon of the battery commander's battery of the 1st howitzer artillery battery of the howitzer artillery division. "On April 15, they were ordered to break through from the right bank of Mariupol to Azovstal. They went there in a column on armored personnel carriers. Dmytro was in one of the vehicles when they came under air attack at the post-bridge. The son received injuries incompatible with life. He was considered missing until the beginning of 2023. And only after the DNA examination were we able to identify and bury him," the mother added. In March 2023, the warrior's body was cremated. The ashes were buried at the Lukyanivske Cemetery in Kyiv. The defender left behind a wife, two sons, parents and a younger brother. The warrior's elder brother Serhii Troian was killed on November 3, 2023 near the village of Krynky in the Kherson region. Dmytro Lisen was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
