- Reconnaissance officer Dmytro Filipovych (call sign Fil) was killed on December 4, 2022 in the area of the village of Chervonopopivka in the Luhansk region. While carrying out his mission, he sustained fatal injuries during enemy mortar shelling. The fighter was 35 years old. Dmytro was born in the city of Novomyrhorod, Kirovohrad region. He stuwas killed at the local school. He obtained a professional education as an electrician. In 2005-2006, he served in the military. In 2008, he got married and moved to the village of Bila in the Ternopil region. In civilian life, he worked as a foreman at a factory. He was passionate about motorcycles and collected antique coins. On August 4, 2022, he became a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He defended his homeland as part of the 66th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Mstislav the Brave. He served in the reconnaissance platoon. For his distinguished service, Dmytro was awarded the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine's "Steel Cross" and the badge of the 66th Separate Mechanized Brigade. "My husband was very courageous, intelligent, and purposeful. He loved his family and children above all else. He helped everyone who needed it. He went to war voluntarily, saying: 'Who, if not us? No step back, only forward.' He will always be in our souls, our thoughts, and our hearts! He is our angel-Hero!" said Maria Filipovych. The warrior was buried in the village of Bila in the Ternopil region. Dmytro is survived by his parents, brothers, wife, and two children.
