Dmytro V. Havrilov (Havriusha)

Senior Sergeant Dmytro Havrilov (call sign Havriusha) was killed on September 14, 2023, in a battle with the occupiers near the village of Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region. The defender's life was cut short by enemy mortar fire. In November, the warrior would have turned 25 years old. Dmytro was born in the city of Khotyn, Chernivtsi region. After completing secondary education in 2018, he went on conscript military service. The following year, he signed a contract with the National Guard of Ukraine. He served in the 14th Operational Purpose Brigade "Chervona Kalyna". In 2020-2021, he carried out combat missions on the territory of the Joint Forces Operation. In his free time, he was interested in barbering. The man met the full-scale invasion together with his comrades-in-arms on the front line. At that time, he held the position of platoon sergeant. As part of his unit, he liberated the Kyiv region from the occupiers, later participated in the defense of the Azot plant in Sievierodonetsk and the settlement of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region. As a sergeant, he always made decisions in favor of the personnel, had great authority and respect from the leadership. Later, he defended the Bakhmut direction in Donetsk region, and then went to the Zaporizhzhia region. There, he took part in the assault on enemy positions in the area of the villages of Verbove, Novoprokopivka and Robotyne. "My husband spent his entire conscious life at war. He was strong in character and spirit, never gave up under any circumstances. Dmytro was well-versed in tactical medicine, so he repeatedly provided first aid to wounded comrades-in-arms, thereby saving their lives. He was one of the most trained sergeants in the company. For his unit, this is truly a heavy and significant loss," said the wife of the fallen Nadiia. The warrior was buried in the city of Kamianets-Podilskyi, Khmelnytskyi region. Dmytro is survived by his wife, relatives and comrades-in-arms.
