- 53-year-old soldier Dmytro Glavinsky (call sign Swede) engaged in his final battle on June 14, 2023, near the village of Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region. The occupiers began assault operations with superior forces and constant artillery bombardments. Dmytro remained to cover the withdrawal of his comrades and the evacuation of the wounded. He sustained injuries, but could not be evacuated from his position. Until October 2023, he was considered missing in action. Then, the lost positions came under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and the hero's body was returned to his family. Dmytro was born and lived his entire life in Kyiv. He graduated from the National Academy of Statistics, Accounting and Audit with a degree in Finance. From 2003 to 2015, he was the operations director of a retail pharmacy network, and from 2019 he worked in Sweden and Norway. On February 23, 2022, the man came to Kyiv on vacation, and the very next day, a full-scale war began. So he went to the military enlistment office and subsequently joined the defense of Ukraine. Dmytro fought in the ranks of the Separate Presidential Brigade named after Bohdan Khmelnytsky. He held the position of rifleman - grenade launcher assistant. "Dima did not leave his position and fulfilled his duty to the end, until his last breath. He could not have acted otherwise," said his wife Lyudmyla. The warrior was buried at the Berkovetsky Cemetery in the capital. Dmytro is survived by his parents, brother, wife, and daughter.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
