- Soldier Dmytro Hrytsenko was killed on September 10, 2022, during enemy shelling in the area of the village of Mykolaivka Druha in the Donetsk region. He was to turn 26 years old on October 24, but it was not meant to be. Dmytro was born in the village of Tekovo in Transcarpathia. He stu at Tekivska secondary school. He obtained a degree as an electrician from the Vynogradiv State College of Mukachevo State University. He could never sit idle. He was a jack of all trades. He worked abroad: in construction and did repairs. In February 2022, he was supposed to go to another country again, but a full-scale war began. From the very first day, February 24, Dmytro stood up to defend Ukraine, as he could not hide at home. He joined the ranks of the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade. Together with his comrades, he went to the front line to defend his homeland from Russian occupiers. "He went to defend Ukraine in the early days of the war. I will never forget his words: 'I can't sit quietly at home when there is a war in the country.' I constantly told him that he was a hero, but he just smiled and replied, 'The heroes are those who .' He never left his loved ones in trouble, and for that reason, he went to defend the Ukrainian people, went for our freedom, for a peaceful sky. I will do everything to ensure that he is never forgotten. He really wanted to return home, to see his family. He returned, but unfortunately, not in the way he wanted," said his fiancée Nikoletta. The defender was buried in the town of Korolevo in Transcarpathia. Dmytro is survived by his father Vasyl, brother Mertii, sister Daniella, and fiancée Nikoletta.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
