Dmytro V. Khytyk

Soldier Dmytro Khytyk was killed on August 13, 2023 in a battle with Russian invaders near the village of Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region. Two months earlier, on June 11, the warrior turned 32 years old. Dmytro was born in the city of Andrushivka, Zhytomyr region. He obtained a secondary education. He worked as a driver at the Andrushivka Bread Factory, later moving to an enterprise that manufactures stainless steel. He devoted his free time to his family and loved ones. On March 24, 2022, the man was drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He began his military path in the Polissya battalion. He fought in the Luhansk region, near the village of Troitske, and in the Donetsk region - near Kostiantynivka. Later, he was transferred to military unit A7022, where he took the position of senior rifleman of the security company. "The deceased was my sister's husband. He was always brave, courageous, loving, kind, and sensitive. Dmytro loved his family endlessly, but he also loved his country. He was a true patriot. His exploits can be talked about endlessly, he was a respected person in civilian life and among his comrades-in-arms," said Kateryna Hrab. The warrior was buried in his hometown. Dmytro is survived by his mother, wife with a newborn son, daughter from his first marriage, loving family, friends, and comrades-in-arms.
