- 21-year-old junior sergeant Dmytro Minailov (call sign Rave) was killed on the operating table on July 26, 2023 due to cardiac arrest. During the assault near the settlement of Urodzhayne in Donetsk region, he was wounded in the arm, but remained with the group on the battlefield to complete the landing, and then received a second wound, the bullet hit the aorta. The fighter was evacuated in time, but they could not save his life. Dmytro was born in the city of Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region. He received secondary education at local school No. 13. He dreamed of military service, so he waited until he came of age and in 2020 signed a contract with the Marine Corps unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The guy served in the 503rd separate marine battalion. He carried out combat missions in the area of the Joint Forces Operation. He constantly studied, trained and improved his military skills. With the start of the full-scale war, together with his comrades-in-arms, he bravely repelled the attacks of the Russian invaders in the eastern direction of the front. In 2023, Dmytro took the position of platoon commander. Despite his young age, the fighter led the unit, was always a courageous warrior, which earned him respect among his comrades-in-arms. During his service, Dmytro was awarded the medal "For the Defense of Ukraine" and posthumously - the Order of Courage of the III degree. "Rave was an erudite, a man of culture, a great fan of poetry and classical art. Very positive and always sensitive, a romantic with a bottomless inner world," his friend Rodion said. The young hero was buried in the village of Dovha Balka in the Donetsk region. Dmytro is survived by his parents, relatives, friends and comrades-in-arms.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
