- 32-year-old Staff Sergeant Dmytro Mulko died on June 19, 2023 while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Levadne in the Zaporizhzhia region. While evacuating his wounded comrades, he himself sustained a fatal injury. Dmytro was born in the village of Popova Hreblia, Vinnytsia region. He graduated from the Bershad Medical College. He did his military service and then decided to remain in the army. Since 2012, he served under contract in the ranks of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. He tried to devote his free time to his family, especially his children. He participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation as part of the 11th (Kramatorsk) border detachment. He fought near Mariinka in the Donetsk region. In 2018-2020, as part of his unit, he carried out combat missions in the area of the Joint Forces Operation, near Kostiantynivka and Maiorsk in the Donetsk region. In 2022, the man voluntarily joined the ranks of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 31st separate communications and radio engineering regiment named after Hetman Mykhailo Doroshenko. He held the position of a medical instructor. Later, he was seconded as a medic to the 36th Marine Brigade. He carried out tasks of evacuation and provision of medical assistance in the combat zone. "He was the best father for our children and will forever remain in our hearts. He was little with the family, but he loved the children very much. He always said: 'Who, if not me? I have to be there and protect you.' It is difficult for us to come to terms with the fact that he died," said the wife of the fallen Alina. The defender was buried in his native village. Dmytro is survived by his parents, wife and two children.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
