Dmytro V. Ocheretian (Pont)

40-year-old machine gunner Dmytro Ocheretian (call sign Pont) was killed on May 18, 2022 near the settlement of Pytomnik in the Kharkiv region. The defender received fatal injuries during an enemy mortar attack. Dmytro was born in Kyiv. He graduated from school No. 144 and a vocational school. He served in the army in Crimea. After demobilization, he obtained a higher education at the National Academy of Culture and Arts Management. Later, he worked at a car repair shop and then as a security guard. For the last 10 years, he was engaged in vending. He loved riding a motorcycle, adventures and travels with friends. His hobby was aquaristics. He enjoyed life, constantly joked and charged everyone around him with his laughter and positivity. When the full-scale war began, Dmytro registered with the local military enlistment office. Later, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine and went to the front. "Dima was a very kind, open, honest and brave person. This war takes the best, and it took you, my beloved. As I told you: I loved you before the war, I love you during the war and I will love you on the Day of Victory and after the Victory! Rest in peace, my Warrior and Defender! Thank you for everything!" said his wife Yevheniia. The defender was buried in Vyshneve, Kyiv region. Dmytro left behind a beloved wife, mother, older brother and a son from his first marriage. Soldier Dmytro Ocheretian was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
