- Soldier Dmytro Prokopyvniuk (call sign Yakobs) sustained multiple injuries on March 15, 2023, near the village of Zaliznianske in Donetsk region. When he and his comrades were returning from a combat mission, their tank was hit by a shell. Dmytro was taken to a hospital in Kyiv with a mine-explosive injury. There, on September 28, he died. He did not live to see his 47th birthday by less than a month. He was from the city of Iziaslav, Khmilnytskyi region. He graduated from the Kyiv Professional College of the Maritime and River Fleet and Transport Technologies. In civilian life, he was an expeditor. He loved fishing, active recreation in nature, and was interested in history. He lived in Kyiv. He worked at the local representative office of the "STV Center" company. He was mobilized in the spring of 2023. After training, he defended Ukraine on the front as part of the 30th separate mechanized brigade named after Prince Kostiantyn Ostrозький. The commander characterized him as a determined warrior. "Dmytro was a very positive person and perceived life with optimism. He had many friends and never refused to help," said Iryna Prokopyvniuk, the deceased's ex-wife. Dmytro was buried in the city cemetery in Kyiv.
