Dmytro V. Rizanenko (Rizik)

Senior soldier Dmytro Rizanenko (call sign Rizik) was killed on July 23, 2023 near the village of Lyman Pershyi in the Kharkiv region as a result of an explosive injury sustained during combat. The warrior was forever 44 years old. Dmytro was born and lived in Kyiv. In 1993 he graduated from secondary school No. 6. Then he studied at the KVTVP "Kyiv" vocational school. He worked in various fields: at a shoe factory, in printing and trade. He was also a driver. He loved fishing, was engaged in tank modeling, was fascinated by the repair of mechanical watches, loved football and read a lot. After the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, the man without hesitation joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. With his comrades-in-arms, he defended his native Kyiv in the northern direction. Then, as part of the 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade, he was in eastern Ukraine. In September 2022, he was wounded near Izium in the Kharkiv region. After recovery, he returned to the 20th Separate Rifle Battalion (military unit A7104). He was a senior rifleman-operator of the rifle platoon of the rifle company. "Dmytro was a kind, sincere, fair person, with a special sense of humor. A loving and caring man, a brother and a son. My support, my beloved! We lived in marriage for 20 years, we were one," his wife Yevheniia said. The defender was buried at the Berkovetsky cemetery in his native Kyiv. At home, Dmytro was awaited by his wife, sister, nephew and mother-in-law.
