- Junior Sergeant Dmytro Shevchenko (call sign Sheva) was killed in action on June 12, 2022, near the village of Metyolkine in Luhansk region. While repelling the enemy's offensive, during a firefight, he received a fatal gunshot wound. The warrior was only 25 years old. Dmytro Shevchenko was born in the village of Novohryhorivka, Mykolaiv region. He received secondary education. In 2017, he was drafted into the National Guard of Ukraine, which he served in military unit 3066 in Kyiv. He was proud of his service and dreamed of joining the Kulchytskyi battalion. In civilian life, he worked at Ukrzaliznytsia and in construction. He loved cooking and cutting hair, even in the army, he found time to do it. He dreamed of opening his own barbershop after the war. In 2019, the man signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 57th separate motorized infantry brigade named after Koshovyi Otaman Kostya Gordiyenko. He performed combat tasks in the area of the Joint Forces Operation. During the full-scale war, he held the position of commander of the mortar mortar calculation of the mortar battery. He was awarded the medal "Veteran of the War". "Dimula, why are you there, if we are waiting for you and love you here?", his sister Katerina Shevchenko wrote. The hero was buried in the village of Lyudmylivka, Mykolaiv region, where he lived. Dmytro left behind his parents, two sisters, and a brother.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
