Dmytro V. Shpak (Dobryi)

Shpak Dmytro Volodymyrovych was born on April 18, 1984, in the city of Putyvl, Sumy region. He first studied at Putyvl Secondary School No. 1, and later at the Kyiv Sports Boarding School. He received higher education at the Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko and the H.S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University. He was actively involved in sports - a Master of Sports of Ukraine in Greco-Roman wrestling, a finalist of the European Grappling Championship, a candidate for the title of Master of Sports in jiu-jitsu, and a champion of Ukraine in kettlebell lifting (among amateurs). He was an organizer of sports competitions. From the first days of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, he stood up to defend the country, while also engaging in volunteer activities for the residents of Putyvl and the Ukrainian Armed Forces. He died on November 4, 2022, while performing a combat mission in the Zaporizhzhia region. He was buried in the city of Putyvl, Sumy region. He is survived by his wife and two children.
