Dmytro V. Shybanov

Junior Sergeant Dmytro Shibanov was killed on March 30, 2024, while performing his official duties in the Druzhkivka area of Donetsk region. In June, the warrior would have turned 27 years old. Dmytro was born in Kyiv. From childhood, he lived with his family in Chernihiv. He studied at school No. 34. He then graduated from the Chernihiv Industrial and Economic College. Later, he moved to Spain. There he worked as a sous-chef in a hotel. After the start of the full-scale invasion, the man returned to his homeland and joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 3rd International Legion. He was the commander of a separate special forces battalion. For his service, he was awarded the "Golden Cross" distinction. "A person who left a peaceful life in Spain and took up arms to fight for the truth and integrity of the state. The struggle for the truth at the cost of life," said the deceased's brother Yaroslav. The hero was buried in the "Yalivshchyna" cemetery in Chernihiv. Dmytro is survived by his parents and brother.
