Dmytro V. Velykodnyi

Soldier Dmytro Velykodnyi was killed on March 7, 2024, while carrying out a combat mission near the city of Kurakhove in the Donetsk region. The defender was 44 years old. Dmytro was born in the city of Lysychansk, Luhansk region. He lived in the Odesa region. He graduated from the National University "Odesa Polytechnic". He worked at LLC "Kargotrans-Service". He spent his free time with his family. During the full-scale Russian invasion, in January 2023, the man was drafted into the army. He served in the 250th Center for Engineering Support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of a sapper. "The best son and father, who loved us and his native Ukraine very much," said the mother of the deceased, Natalia Pavlivna. Dmytro was buried in the city of Pivdenne, Odesa region. The defender is survived by his parents, wife, son, and daughter. The defender was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage, 3rd degree.
