- Lieutenant Junior Grade Dmytro Voitiuk (call sign Chechen) was killed on June 3, 2023, in the area of the village of Dachne in the Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission, he sustained fatal injuries during enemy artillery shelling. The officer was 30 years old. Dmytro was from the city of Sarny in the Rivne region. After school, he entered Professional College No. 21, and then the Myrohoshcha Agrarian Professional College. Later, he moved to Kyiv to be with his beloved, where he continued to live. He graduated from the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences and became a master of energy. He served in the police for a long time, being a senior crew member and a police lieutenant. Later, he took a position as a sales manager at Elektrosystemy Ukrainy LLC. Throughout his life, he was passionate about sports, playing football, being a candidate for the title of Master of Sports in boxing, and a Master of Sports in Horting. In 2011, he became the Ukrainian champion in combat Hopak. In his free time, he loved to cook spicy meat dishes. He was interested in the history of Ukraine and religion, and he wrote poetry. In 2019, he married his beloved Svitlana, with whom he had been together for 13 years. In 2021, the couple had their first child. During the full-scale invasion, Dmytro joined the Territorial Defense Forces. Later, his unit became the 104th separate brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Initially, Dmytro defended the perimeter of the city, then went to the border with Belarus. There, he became a squad commander and later a platoon commander. In April 2023, his unit was transferred to the Bakhmut direction. Dmytro asked all his loved ones to take care of his wife and son. He constantly told his beloved that he was worried about them and was very concerned about his subordinates. A few months before his death, Dmytro was on leave. He spent time with his family, had his last boxing match with his friend and sparring partner Yevhen at his favorite sports club "SpartaBox". "Dmytro's favorite number was 3. 'God loves the Trinity,' he would say. He was born on the 3rd, and he was killed on the 3rd. He was born in 1993 and was killed in 2023, just before Trinity Sunday... Dmytro always presented himself as a strong man, courageous, brave, and a fighter for justice. Very persistent and purposeful if he sincerely wanted something. Dmytro wanted to live a long life. He said, 'I will live to be 100. We will travel in our old age.' But in reality, his life was cut short at the age of 30. In the last days of his leave, he hugged his son, and the little one did not want to let his beloved daddy go. The son will still enthusiastically say 'Daddy' every time the phone rings on mom's phone. My husband and I imagined how one day our son would ask: 'What did you do, Dad, in the war?' And Dmytro would proudly tell him that he went to defend for the sake of the family, for the sake of the Motherland, for his Ukraine. But this will not happen... Our son will ask, and he will be proud of his dad, but he will no longer hear his father's voice. More than anything, he dreamed of taking his son to the boxing gym, of training together at 'SpartaBox'. He also dreamed of a daughter. He really wanted to fly to the sea, see the pyramids, walk around Europe with his family. Visit our Carpathians, drive around Ukraine, because he believed that we have the most beautiful places in the world. He was always warm to the touch. The soul of any company. Sociable, trusting, quick to call people friends. Brutal, but tender to his wife and kind to the world. The incredible and unforgettable Dmytro Viktorovych Voitiuk. The son of his parents and the in-laws, who accepted him as their own. The best loving husband in the world. A sincere and affectionate father, whom the son still cannot stop waiting for. A devoted defender of a free and steadfast Ukraine. A hero forever," the fallen officer's wife said. The warrior was buried in his hometown. At home, Dmytro was awaited by his wife, son, relatives, and loved ones.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
