- First Lieutenant Dmytro Fedorchuk (call sign Sluch) was killed on September 19, 2022, during an enemy artillery shelling near the village of Bila Hora in the Donetsk region. The officer was 23 years old. Dmytro was born in the city of Slavuta, Khmelnytskyi region. He studied at general education school I–III degrees No. 3. In 2020, he graduated with honors from the Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Academy of Ground Forces in Lviv. He studied at the Faculty of Rocket Forces and Artillery. After graduation, he began serving in the ranks of the 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Konstantin Ostrozhsky. He was the commander of a self-propelled artillery battery. He performed combat missions in the area of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO). During the full-scale war, the officer, along with his comrades, continued to defend Ukraine from Russian occupiers. In April, First Lieutenant Dmytro Fedorchuk was awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi of the III degree. “Dmytro had a strong zest for life and many plans for the future. The life of this bright, positive, kind person, a reliable friend who would never abandon anyone in trouble, was cut short too soon by the hands of Russian occupiers. This is how his family, friends, and comrades remember him… It is hard to find words that could ease the pain experienced by the relatives, close ones, and friends of the deceased. Dmytro was always and remains a patriot of his Motherland, a loving son, brother, grandson, friend, and comrade,” the Slavuta community noted. The officer was buried in his hometown. His parents and sister were waiting for him at home.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
