Dmytro Yu. Filimonov

Born on November 11, 1986, in the village of Zalissia, Dunaivtsi district, Khmelnytskyi region. Graduated from the general education school of the village of Zalissia and the Higher Vocational School No. 26 in the village of Balyn, Dunaivtsi district, Khmelnytskyi region. Served mandatory military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After demobilization, returned to the village of Zalissia. Worked as a tractor driver at a local enterprise. In August 2014, mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Served as the chief sergeant - commander of the mortar of the 2nd Airborne Assault Battalion of the 95th Separate Airborne Brigade of the High Mobility Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0281, city of Zhytomyr). Since 2014, participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On July 9, 2015, Junior Sergeant Filimonov was killed as a result of a mortar shelling near the city of Avdiivka, Donetsk region. On July 12, 2015, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Zalissia, Dunaivtsi district, Khmelnytskyi region.
