- Senior soldier Dmytro Filonov (call sign Filya) was killed on February 5, 2023, while performing a combat mission near the village of Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region. The warrior was 24 years old. Dmytro was born in the city of Dnipro. In 2017, he graduated from the Zelendolsk Vocational Lyceum. Then he went on conscript military service. In 2019, he was transferred to contract service. He lived in Mykolaiv. Since September 2019, he served in the 145th separate repair and restoration regiment of the logistics forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He carried out combat missions in the area of the Joint Forces Operation. In 2020, he was awarded the medal "Operation of the Joint Forces. For Valor and Loyalty." In January 2023, Dmytro was transferred to the 79th separate air assault brigade. He took the position of a senior rifleman and went to the front line to defend his homeland from the occupiers. "He was a very cheerful and wonderful person. No matter how difficult it was, he always tried to find something good and lift the mood of those around him. He supported me in everything and did not show how important support was to him. He transferred to another unit at his own request to defend our Motherland," said the widow of the fallen Viktoria. "We have lost another wonderful person: energetic, cheerful, full of dreams and hopes... Dima worthily bore the title of a citizen of our country. We were constantly in touch. I don't believe I'll never hear his cheerful voice again. He instilled optimism. A very sensitive person, a loyal friend, a caring brother, a good husband! Rest in peace, Dima!" wrote Iryna Mainer. The paratrooper was buried in the village of Kapustyne in the Mykolaiv region. The warrior is survived by his wife, sister, and other relatives.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
