Dmytro Yu. Horcha

33-year-old combat medic Dmytro Horcha was killed in action on July 25, 2022, while saving a wounded comrade in the area of the village of Serbryanka in Donbass. Enemy shelling cut his life short. Dmytro was born in the city of Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk region. He stuwas killed in action at the National Technical University "Dnipro Polytechnic". In civilian life, he worked as a miner, was a mining master at the "Dniprovska" mine. He was fond of extreme recreation, skydiving, kayaking, swimming, and cycling. He loved mountains very much and often went on long hikes. During the large-scale Russian invasion, the man was mobilized into the ranks of the airborne assault troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He underwent training and continued to serve in the 25th separate airborne brigade. "He was the best person I knew... Unfortunately, this is not a dream, and miracles did not happen, you won't tell me: 'Sun, wake up, you had a terrible dream'. You were my whole universe, always positive, even in the most difficult situations, you could cheer me up, you were the best dad in the world, you were your parents' favorite son. I thank fate for our 14 years of love, and only now do I understand how little it was and how much we didn't have time to do. We had so many dreams and plans, but this cursed war took you away from us. I will love you until my last breath, there are no others like you," wrote the deceased's wife Natalia. The soldier was buried in the Alley of Heroes of the city cemetery in his native Pavlohrad. Dmytro left behind his parents, wife, and two children.
