Dmytro Yu. Kapustian (KD)

Senior Soldier Dmytro Kapustian (call sign KD) was killed on January 24, 2023, during combat operations near the village of Zolotarivka in the Luhansk region. The warrior was 38 years old. Dmytro was born in the village of Chernihivka, Zaporizhia region. He lived in the city of Polohy. He obtained the profession of a forester at the Velykoanadol Forestry College. He worked in his specialty at the Prymorske Forestry. During the full-scale war, the man fought for his country in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Hetman Ivan Mazepa. He held the position of senior gunner of the grenade launcher platoon of the fire support company. "Dmytro was a courageous man, a good, reasonable father, he always supported. A true, courageous hero," said his wife Tetiana. Dmytro was buried in the village of Lukasheve, Zaporizhia region. At home, his mother, wife, and daughter were waiting for him. The military was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
