Biography
Dmytro Yuriyovych was born on March 14, 1992, in the village of Kruchenytsia, Chernyakhiv District, Zhytomyr Region. In 2009, he graduated from the Selyanshchyna Sports Lyceum. In 2014, he graduated from Zhytomyr State University named after Ivan Franko, where he received a specialist diploma in physical education and sports. During his studies, Dmytro managed to work as a physical education teacher at his native sports lyceum. Even then, Dmytro exhibited the best traits of his character: a sense of justice, perseverance, and courage. Therefore, on October 29, 2014, he signed a contract for military service and was assigned to military unit A1724. He successfully served as the head of the radio station of the communication and radio-technical support unit. At the same time, Dmytro was determined to get to the front, as he had personal scores to settle with the enemy—his classmate and childhood friend had been killed there. In October 2017, Dmytro Lytvynchuk was voluntarily dispatched to perform military duty in the ATO zone as a reconnaissance rangefinder of the reconnaissance platoon of the 2nd battalion of the 95th Air Assault Brigade. On November 25, 2017, during combat duty at a position near the settlement of Verkhnotoretske in Donetsk region, Sergeant Dmytro Lytvynchuk was killed as a result of a sniper attack from the enemy. This happened at noon. The treacherous enemy did not allow for the evacuation of the wounded and the provision of medical assistance until darkness fell. Dmytro Yuriyovych was buried as a Hero of Ukraine in the cemetery of his native village.Military service
