Dmytro Yu. Sinelnik (Dimon)

33-year-old junior lieutenant Dmytro Sinelnik (call sign Dimon) was killed on April 1, 2024 in the Vuhledar area in Donetsk region. He sustained fatal injuries during enemy mortar shelling. Dmytro was born in the village of Khatsiky, Cherkasy region. He graduated from the Donetsk Law Institute. He worked as a traffic safety inspector in the Cherkasy district. In his free time, he was engaged in arranging his garage and the adjacent territory. He played football and participated in district and regional competitions. In 2023, the man was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 72nd separate mechanized brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians. He held the position of platoon commander. "Dima was the heart of the family, that's what we called him. Always full of energy and ideas. He was loved and respected by friends, colleagues, classmates, and comrades. He was a leader, took responsibility for the decisions made, and knew how to unite the team. He said he had the best family," said the mother of the deceased. Dmytro was buried in his native village. He is survived by his mother Iryna Anatoliivna, father Yurii Oleksandrovych, sister Yana, daughter Anna, and son Dmytro.
