- Soldier Edgar Grigoryan (call sign Gypsy) died on December 18, 2023 near the village of Bohdanivka in the Donetsk region. In the battle with the enemy, he received a fatal gunshot wound to the head. The warrior remained forever 23 years old. Edgar was born in Yerevan (Armenia). When he was two years old, the family moved to the village of Hvizdivtsi, Chernivtsi region. There he finished the local school and entered a college, which he did not finish due to his father's illness. He was engaged in sports, loved to listen to music. Due to his health, the young man was limited in his suitability for military service. However, in 2023 he decided to go to the front anyway and signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 107th separate brigade of the territorial defense, held the position of a rifleman. "My son was my whole life. He was on the same wavelength with me, constantly supported his father after a serious illness, and took care of his younger sister. He had a lot of friends who considered him the best, because he could listen and help if possible. He loved life very much, the truth, no matter how bitter it was, and hated false people. And he loved his daughter the most, who was born abroad and whom he never had time to hold in his arms," the mother of the fallen said. "Young, energetic, full of hopes and plans, with an acute sense of responsibility and justice - this is how Edgar Grigoryan will be remembered forever by his relatives, friends and comrades-in-arms," the Sokyryanskа city council noted. The defender was buried in the village of Hvizdivtsi, Chernivtsi region. Edgar left behind his parents Svitlana Volodymyrivna and Eduard Vruyrovych, his sister Oleksandra and a daughter whom he never saw.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
