Eduard D. Smorchkov (Trebulie)

Soldier Eduard Smortchkov (call sign Trebulie) was killed on April 16, 2023 in battle with the occupiers near the city of Kreminna in the Luhansk region. On April 2, the warrior turned 23 years old. Eduard was born in the city of Lysychansk, Luhansk region. He obtained the profession of a miner in a vocational school. He worked in his specialty. In his free time, he loved fishing and sports. Later, he moved to the Cherkasy region. During the full-scale invasion, the man went to war to defend Ukraine. He dreamed of liberating his native Luhansk region and returning home. He served in the 77th separate airmobile brigade of the airborne assault troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He believed in victory and wanted to live freely. "He was a very good father. He was always positive and had many plans for life, but fate ordered otherwise, unfortunately.. Now he is an angel who will forever remain in the heart as a true hero and the best man," said the wife of the deceased, Olena. The defender was buried at the Krasnopilskyi cemetery in Dnipro. Eduard is survived by his wife and son.
