- A 48-year-old warrant officer, Eduard Sadomsky (call sign "Flag), was killed in action on April 4, 2022, while performing a combat mission near the village of Brazhivka, Kharkiv region. The defender's car hit an enemy mine. Eduard was from the village of Korytna, Khmelnytskyi region. He was hardworking since childhood. His mother worked on a collective farm and raised her son alone. After school, Eduard graduated from Khmelnytskyi Technical and Professional School No. 7. During his studies, he managed to engage in sports and work to help his mother and provide for himself. Thus, Eduard bought himself a moped, which he had dreamed of since childhood. Later, the man served his mandatory military service in the airborne troops in the city of Bolgrad, Odesa region. When he returned, he went to work in the penitentiary service - at the Raykivtsi Correctional Colony. At the same time, he obtained a higher education at Kamianets-Podilskyi Ivan Ohienko Pedagogical Institute. Eduard loved nature very much, grew a large garden and flower beds. After retiring due to length of service, he engaged in entrepreneurial activity. He rented a pond and bred fish. The man also sang well and played the guitar. On the second day of the full-scale war, February 25, 2022, Eduard voluntarily went to defend Ukraine. He joined the ranks of the 3rd Separate Iron Tank Brigade. He was the commander of the reconnaissance platoon. "Ukraine has gained a Hero, and my sister and I have lost a father who was always a hero to us. He said: always be honest. First of all, be honest with yourself and with people, so that you will not be ashamed," said the man's eldest daughter, Bohdana. The defender was buried on the Avenue of Heroes in Khmelnytskyi. At home, Eduard was waited for by his wife Lesia and two daughters: 23-year-old Bohdana and 14-year-old Vitalina.
