- 23-year-old paratrooper Eduard Yefymenko (call sign Fima) died on April 19, 2022, while performing a combat mission near the village of Dibrivne in the Kharkiv region. He was considered missing for a long time. Eduard was born in the village of Podil, Poltava region. He graduated from the Bilyakivska secondary school of I-III degrees and the Poltava Vocational School No. 4, obtaining the profession of car mechanic and electric gas welder. Then he was drafted into the fire safety service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He led an active lifestyle, engaged in sports, including boxing and running. He was fond of reading, devoted a lot of time to drawing and writing poetry. With the start of the full-scale war, Eduard joined the ranks of volunteers and enlisted in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was the driver of the charging reactive artillery group of the 95th separate air assault brigade. According to the memories of his comrades-in-arms, such people are few. Eduard was a brave warrior, a reliable comrade, and a real man. The warrior was buried exactly a year after his death, on April 19, 2023, in the Alley of Glory of the Zaturynske cemetery in the Poltava region. Eduard is survived by his parents, sisters, friends, and comrades-in-arms. Posthumously, soldier Eduard Yefymenko was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
