- Born on February 18, 1963, in the city of Sumy. In 1980, he graduated from secondary school No. 4 in Sumy. Since 1980, he served in the Armed Forces of the USSR. In 1985, he graduated from the Penza Higher Artillery Engineering School named after the Chief Marshal of Artillery N.N. Voronov (now the Penza Artillery Engineering Institute named after the Chief Marshal of Artillery N.N. Voronov, in the city of Penza, Russian Federation). He served in various positions in the Armed Forces. He was discharged to the reserve. In 2014-2015, he served in the mobilization in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Since 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. In the summer of 2015, he was wounded. In 2015, shortly after demobilization, he returned to military service in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit field post V2970, in the city of Artemivsk (now Bakhmut), Donetsk region). On December 8, 2015, Captain Roschenko died of cardiac arrest in the area of the city of Artemivsk (now Bakhmut), Donetsk region.
