Eduard V. Basiuk

Serviceman Eduard Basyuk died on August 19, 2023 while carrying out a combat mission in the village of Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region. During enemy artillery shelling, he sustained injuries incompatible with life. Eduard was 45 years old. He was born and lived in the village of Rokytne in the Rivne region. He received his education in the specialty of "Applied Mechanics" at the Rivne National University of Water Management and Environmental Engineering. In civilian life, he worked for a long time at the Rokytne glass factory. He loved to read, cook, fish, and go to the forest. During the full-scale invasion, he joined the ranks of the 3rd Operational Purpose Brigade named after Colonel Petro Bolbochan. He held the position of operator of the 2nd anti-tank unit. "My only brother was a courageous and brave man, a wise and good person. He was not afraid to give his life for victory, which he repeatedly said," said Alona Klus. The defender was buried in his native village. Eduard is survived by his father, two children, and a sister.
