Eduard V. Homon (Prorab)

Police corporal Eduard Gomon (call sign Foreman) was killed on February 9, 2024 near the settlement of Kalinivka in the Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission, he received fatal injuries as a result of enemy artillery shelling. The warrior was 41 years old. Eduard was born in the city of Bakhmach, Chernihiv region. He studied at the local school No. 1. In 2008, he graduated from the Kyiv Technical School of Railway Transport. For over 15 years, he worked in construction as a foreman and site manager. He dedicated his free time to his family. In February 2023, the man joined the ranks of the defenders. Eduard became a fighter of the united assault brigade of the National Police of Ukraine "Fury" and went to the front. For his service, the warrior was awarded the medal "Defender of the Fatherland" and the Order of Courage of the III degree (posthumously). "My husband was extraordinarily brave, strong, and determined. He feared nothing and no one... Always honest, straightforward. But at the same time, kind, cheerful and generous, sometimes too much," said Anastasia Gomon. The policeman was buried in his hometown. Eduard left behind his wife Anastasia and son Vyacheslav, who was 11 years old at the time of his father's death.
