- 29-year-old Senior Sergeant Eduard Marko (call sign Vampire) died along with his comrades on November 3, 2023, during a formation for an award ceremony in the village of Zarichne, Zaporizhia region. At that time, Russian troops carried out a missile strike on the location of the defenders using the "Iskander-M" complex. Eduard was from the city of Khust, Zakarpattia region. He graduated from the Zakarpattia Forestry College. He was passionate about music, cinema, and computer games. In civilian life, he worked in the "Computer Universe" store. During the full-scale war, the man served in the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of operator of the control section of the rocket artillery platoon. For his service, Eduard was awarded the following decorations: "Veteran of War", the Order of Augustyn Voloshyn, the Order of the Cross of the Hero (posthumously), and the Order of Courage III degree (posthumously). "Smart, honest, fair, handsome, courageous, the darling of his family and friends," is how his mother Yevheniia described the fallen soldier. The warrior was buried in his hometown. Eduard is survived by his mother and stepfather.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
