Eduard Yu. Chyrko

Senior sailor Eduard Chirko was killed on March 16, 2022 in the battle for his native city of Mariupol in the Donetsk region. The defender was 30 years old. Eduard was born and raised in Mariupol. He graduated from the O.M. Beketov National University of Urban Economy in Kharkiv. For some time he worked at the Azovstal plant. During the full-scale war, the man served under contract in the 501st separate marine battalion of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Even before 2022, he took part in the ATO / OOS. At the time of the full-scale invasion, he held the position of senior mechanic-driver. "He was the best man, a good person. He was always the soul of the company, he could easily find a common language with people. He loved and protected his family very much... We miss him immensely. He was incredibly brave and devoted to the oath. He fought to the last for the independence of Ukraine and for his native city of Mariupol, for his family. He will forever remain in our hearts!" - said the ex-wife of the warrior Valeria Malyshko. Eduard was buried at the Black Sea Cemetery in the Mykolaiv region. He is survived by his father, other relatives, friends and comrades-in-arms.
