Eldar A. Yusifov

Senior Lieutenant Eldar Yusifov (call sign Argon) died on March 10, 2024 near the village of Kopiyky in the Sumy region. While performing his official duties, he received fatal injuries as a result of a hostile air strike. The officer was only 37 years old. Eldar was from Kharkiv. He graduated from the National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute". He founded LLC "Ukrkryogen", which was engaged in the transportation of cryogenic materials. In his free time, he repaired cars and had a talent for it, loved to read books about military equipment and weapons, and conducted training sessions at the training ground. During the full-scale war, the man joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and went to defend his country. He served in the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after General-Ensign Marko Bezruchko. He held the position of tank company commander. He received the award "For the Defense of Ukraine". "Eldar was a man with a capital letter. Kind and sensitive. He always smiled and was never upset. A positive person. We met the beginning of the war together in Kharkiv, in Pivnichna Saltivka. It was scary, but he was not afraid, he went to evacuate friends and acquaintances. He never refused to help anyone. And a few days later, he took up the defense of the Motherland. This is a heavy and terrible loss for us..." - said Yulia, the wife of the deceased's brother. The officer was buried in the Alley of Glory of cemetery No. 18 in Kharkiv. Eldar is survived by his parents, wife and brother with his family.
