Elvin I. Novruzov (El)

Soldier Elvin Novruzov (call sign El) was killed on December 31, 2022 near the village of Ozaryanivka in the Donetsk region. While providing machine gun fire support to the unit in combat with the enemy, he received fatal injuries. In November, the defender turned 35 years old. Elvin was born in the city of Kalush, Ivano-Frankivsk region. He graduated from the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas with a degree in "Computerized Control Systems and Automation". He led an active lifestyle, was a candidate for the title of sports master in artistic gymnastics, and had many awards, certificates, and medals. His hobby was collecting German coins. At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, in March 2022, Elvin was mobilized into the airborne assault troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 46th separate airmobile brigade. He was a machine gunner. He fought alongside his comrades-in-arms in the hottest areas of the front. During the last battle, contact with Elvin was lost. He was considered missing until March 26, 2023. Then the Armed Forces of Ukraine went on the offensive in that area and found the warrior's body. He was identified by his military ID. "Elvin was an unreal person, a sincere patriot, courageous, and brave. He had the respect and admiration of many people. For his friends, he was always the best, always positive, with an endless number of jokes! He was the best dad for his child, the best husband, son, and brother," said the fallen warrior's wife, Sofia. The hero was buried in the Alley of Glory cemetery in his hometown. At home, the defender was awaited by his mother, sister, wife, and daughter, who was 2 years old at the time of her father's death.
