Ernest M. Mytrovych (Fartovyi)

Soldier Ernest Mitrovich (call sign Lucky) was killed on February 14, 2024 in the Vuhledar area of Donetsk region. During the performance of a combat mission, he came under enemy air strike. The defender was 35 years old. Ernest was born in Svaliava, Zakarpattia region. He received secondary education. He lived in the Sumy region. For the last 17 years, he worked at the municipal enterprise "Shliakhremhud". He was an active and versatile person, easily finding a common language with those around him. On February 24, 2022, the man joined the ranks of volunteers and went to the front. He defended the Sumy region. Later, he became a scout of the 58th separate motorized infantry brigade named after Hetman Ivan Vyhovsky. He defended the Bakhmut, Lyman, Kupiansk, Chernihiv and Vuhledar directions. For his service in intelligence, he received a medal and a certificate "For personal steadfastness and courage in the performance of military duty, military professionalism". "My beloved is a person with a broad soul. Fair, courageous, active, sociable, kind, sincere. He deserves all the best words. For me, he was like air, without him now it is even difficult to breathe," Olga Kononenko shared. The defender was buried in the Alley of Glory of the Baranivka cemetery in Sumy. He left behind a civil wife Olga, son Eric and daughter Amina.
