- Born on February 6, 1969, in the city of Horodnia, Chernihiv region. Graduated from high school, then from vocational technical school No. 5 in the city of Chernihiv (now Chernihiv Professional Railway Transport College). Served mandatory military service in the Armed Forces of the USSR. Worked at the "Agat" factory in the city of Horodnia, as a welder at construction sites in the cities of Kyiv, Mariupol in Donetsk region, and Minsk (Belarus). On August 14, 2014, mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine by the Horodnia District Military Commissariat of Chernihiv region. Served in the mortar battery of the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0666 (field post V0095), the urban-type settlement of Chornomorske in the Kominternivskyi district (since 2016 - Lyman district) of Odesa region). In 2015, G.A. Statsenko was demobilized. In 2014-2015, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. Served near the village of Taramchuk in the Mariinka district of Donetsk region. Since March 14, 2016, he served under contract in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Served as a mortar commander in the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1302 (field post V2830), the urban-type settlement of Cherkaské in the Novomoskovsk district of Dnipropetrovsk region). Since 2016, he again participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On March 15, 2017, Junior Sergeant Statsenko died while on duty in the area of the city of Lysychansk in Luhansk region. On March 18, 2017, he was buried in the cemetery of the city of Horodnia, Chernihiv region.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
