Hennadii H. Lykhovyd

Born on July 20, 1976, in the village of Roylanka, Saratsky District, Odesa Region. In 1991, he graduated from the 8th grade of the Roylanka secondary school, and in 1992 - from the Starokozatske Agricultural College (now the State Vocational and Technical Educational Institution "Starokozatsky Professional Agrarian Lyceum," in the village of Starokozache, Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi District, Odesa Region) with a specialty in "mechanization." In 1993-1994, he worked at the collective farm named after Karl Marx in the village of Roylanka. From 1994 to 1996, he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After the army, he returned to his native village. From 1996 to 2002, he again worked at the collective farm named after Karl Marx. From 2002 to 2010, he lived in his wife's homeland in the village of Pavlivka, Frunzivskyi (since 2016 - Zakharivskyi) District, Odesa Region. In 2010, after the divorce, he returned to the village of Roylanka, Saratsky District, Odesa Region. In August 2014, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 28th Separate Guards Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0666 (field post V0095), the urban-type settlement of Chornomorske, Kominternivskyi (since 2016 - Lymanskyi) District, Odesa Region). Since the fall of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On April 12, 2015, soldier Lykhovyd was killed while performing a combat mission due to an explosion on a tripwire in the area of the village of Berezove, Marinka District, Donetsk Region. He is buried in the cemetery of the village of Roylanka, Saratsky District, Odesa Region.
