- Reconnaissance officer Hennadii Tykhonov (call sign Tykhon) died on August 14, 2022, while performing his duties near the village of Prybuzke in the Mykolaiv region. He received a fatal wound and mine-explosive injuries as a result of enemy shelling of Ukrainian positions. The defender was 40 years old. Hennadii was born in the settlement of Novi Biliary, Odesa region. He lived in Pivdenne. After school, he served in the military in Crimea. Then he graduated from the Odesa Institute of Cold, Cryogenic Technologies and Eco-Energy named after V.S. Martynovsky. He worked as a urea production operator at the Odesa Port Plant and as a docker-mechanic in the South Port. He was involved in football for many years, participating in city, regional tournaments, and sports Olympiads. He was a member of the shop team in the game "What? Where? When?". In 2015-2016, he participated in the ATO in the Luhansk region, after which he founded and headed the NGO "ATO Veterans of Yuzhne". In 2017-2018, he signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, working in the secret service. In 2021, he underwent training in military unit A1084 as a mechanized platoon commander. In February 2022, he volunteered for the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign. He held the position of senior reconnaissance officer in the reconnaissance company. "In 40 years of life, not everyone manages to do as much for their relatives, loved ones, and those around them as Hena did. He was a locomotive that led people. His energy was enough for a million things at once. He was charismatic and sociable, smart and caring about other people's problems. No one can say that he refused to help someone. The future of Ukraine should have been based on such men," said the wife of the fallen defender. Hennadii was buried in the cemetery in Pivdenne. At home, his wife Zoreslava and son Mark were waiting for him.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
