Hennadii V. Fokin (Kolombo)

Soldier Gennady Fokin was killed on April 19, 2022, in battle with Russian invaders near the city of Izium in the Kharkiv region. The defender was forever 45 years old. Gennady was from the city of Zaporizhia. He studied at the National Technical University "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute named after Igor Sikorsky". He worked as a master at the Ukrnafta company. He devoted his free time to his family, which was the main value in his life. During the full-scale war, the man joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine and stood up to defend his country from the Russian invaders. Gennady served in the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade "Kholodny Yar", where he held the position of a grenade launcher. "Without you, my dear, life has stopped... A very bright and very joyful person. We will never forgive, we will never forget," wrote the mother of the fallen Tetyana Oleksiyivna. Gennady was buried in the Alley of Glory of the St. Nicholas cemetery in his hometown. At home, the defender was awaited by his mother, wife, and daughter. The warrior was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
