Hennadii V. Havrylenko

Gennady Gavrilenko, a warrior, was killed on December 6, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission in the Luhansk region. Near the village of Makiivka, the defender sustained fatal injuries as a result of enemy shelling. He was 50 years old. Gennady was born in Kramatorsk, Donetsk region. He studied at local school No. 3 and obtained the profession of a welder at vocational school No. 47. He served in the military in Estonia. After his service, he worked at the Novokramatorsk Machine Building Plant. His last workplace was the company "Voda Donbasu". In his free time, he loved to draw, had a talent for music, and played the guitar and piano. From the first days of the full-scale invasion of the Russian invaders, Gennady went to defend his native lands as part of the local Territorial Defense Forces. He served in the 106th separate battalion of the Territorial Defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The last time he contacted his relatives was on December 3. He called his mother and said: "Mom, we will win soon, everything will be fine! Don't worry, the victory will be ours. Of course, we could use more people, but it's okay, we're coping, we have a wonderful team, I'll be home soon." But three days later, he was killed. The defender was buried in the Alley of Glory in his native Kramatorsk. Gennady is survived by his mother, wife, stepson, and son from his first marriage.
