Hlib M. Rabushin (Alabai)

Combat medic Hleb Rabushin (call sign Alabai) was killed on March 4, 2023 while performing a combat mission near Avdiivka in the Donetsk region. The defender was 23 years old. Hleb was from the Zaporizhzhia region. He lived in the village of Balabyne. He graduated from the Zaporizhzhia Center for Vocational Education of Water Transport and obtained the profession of a cook-waiter. In civilian life, he worked in a restaurant as a sous-chef. He was a good artist, cook, played the guitar, and was engaged in sports. During the full-scale Russian invasion, Hleb fought for Ukraine in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a senior combat medic in the 53rd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Vladimir Monomakh. He saved his comrades and courageously carried out combat missions. "Hleb finished 9 grades of the Malokaterynivka gymnasium. He was a gifted boy, very good at drawing. Shy, without bad habits. It's a pity to talk about him in the past tense..." wrote Lyudmyla Volyk. "Hleb was loyal to his family, his Homeland. He was very talented, he could have done so much more! It's very painful, I miss him!" wrote the warrior's sister Raisa. The hero was buried in the village of Balabyne, Zaporizhzhia region. Hleb is survived by his father and younger sister. Posthumously, Junior Sergeant Hleb Rabushin was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
