Hryhorii H. Romanov

Born on September 17, 1982, in the city of Tynda, Amur Region (Russian Federation). Lived in the city of Krasnoarmiysk (now Pokrovsk) in Donetsk Region. In 1998, he graduated from the 9th grade of secondary school No. 12 in Krasnoarmiysk. In the early 2000s, he served his mandatory military service in the border troops of Ukraine. Since December 30, 2014, he served under contract in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. From 2015, he served in the Krasnoarmiysk-Selydove Combined City Military Commissariat of Donetsk Region, and from August 2016, he was the commander of the gun of the anti-tank artillery platoon of the anti-tank artillery battery of the anti-tank artillery division of the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit field post V2970, city of Bakhmut, Donetsk Region). Since 2016, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On December 13, 2016, Sergeant Grigory Romanov died as a result of severe pneumonia during treatment at the Military Medical Clinical Center of the Northern Region (city of Kharkiv). On December 15, 2016, he was buried at the Alley of Heroes in the Central Cemetery of the city of Pokrovsk, Donetsk Region.
