- Junior Sergeant Grigoriy Vorontsev (call sign Voron) was killed on November 10, 2022, near the village of Vedmezhe in the Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission, the defender sustained fatal injuries as a result of enemy shelling. The warrior was 37 years old. Grigoriy was born in the village of Skalonivka in the Kharkiv region. He graduated from the Zachepilivka Lyceum. He worked as a courier. He loved nature, especially plants. His favorite hobby was growing his own garden. He dreamed of buying a motorcycle and traveling with his family. When the Russian-Ukrainian war began, Grigoriy participated in combat operations in Donbas. He was a participant in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO), for which he received a commendation. During the full-scale invasion of Russian occupiers, he joined the ranks of the 111th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade. He was a senior operator of the anti-tank unit. "Grisha was a wonderful person. He was caring and kind. He always helped everyone. He loved humor, and his stories and conversations constantly lifted everyone's spirits. Grigoriy was a jack of all trades; he could fix anything, do anything, and even took on the impossible. He could do what not everyone could. He loved animals very much. He grew a large garden, which he adored tending to; it was not only a hobby for him but also a kind of calming activity. He loved life. He adored his daughter, and it was mutual because she was a copy of her dad. He really wanted a son and heir. He always said he was lucky to have me. He would say, 'You are the best for me.' He had a great job; his colleagues respected him, and even more so, his superiors. When he was taken to war, he always said, 'Who if not me? I am going to protect my family.' He was still so young, with so much life ahead, and had many plans for the future. We miss dad very much," said the defender's wife, Kateryna. Grigoriy was buried in his native village. At home, his parents, brother, sisters, wife, daughter, and nieces and nephews were waiting for him.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
