Hryhorii I. Mandryk (Kuznets)

Serviceman Hryhoriy Mandryk was killed on January 20, 2023, defending the city of Bakhmut in Donetsk region from Russian occupiers. In February, the warrior would have turned 28 years old. Hryhoriy was born in the village of Popilnyky, Ivano-Frankivsk region. In childhood, he moved with his family to the village of Velyka Motovilivka in the Kyiv region. There he graduated from the local school. He received higher education at the Kharkiv Aviation University. He worked at the state enterprise "Antonov" and in security. During the full-scale Russian invasion, Hryhoriy defended his native country. He served in the 3rd separate assault brigade. He held the position of squad commander - commander of a combat vehicle. "Young, courageous, a great patriot of Ukraine... He had big plans for the future after the Victory - to start a family, have children, come to his mother and father on weekends, see and teach the life of his younger brother and just live in a free country..." - noted in the Fastiv City Council. "How painful... The damned war takes the best... May the Kingdom of Heaven, eternal rest, may the earth be soft! We will all remember you, Hryshka. Deep bow to you... Heroes do not die, they will always be in our hearts. Glory to the Hero of Ukraine! To the relatives and friends - sincere condolences, endurance to survive this terrible grief..." - wrote acquaintance Natalia Proročenko. The defender was buried in the village of Velyka Motovilivka, Kyiv region. Hryhoriy is survived by his parents, two brothers and a fiancee.
