Hryhorii M. Bielov (Bilyi)

Senior soldier Hryhoriy Bielov (call sign White) was killed on September 7, 2022, defending the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. The defender was 38 years old. Hryhoriy was born in the city of Vuhledar, Donetsk region. He graduated from the local school and vocational school, and worked in a mine. In his free time, he loved to cook delicious dishes. Since he was a very kind person, he always had many friends who loved and respected him. In January 2020, he went to serve under contract in the 53rd separate mechanized brigade named after Prince Volodymyr Monomakh. He participated in the Joint Forces Operation. He had awards and decorations, and loved to treat his comrades-in-arms with his dishes. During the full-scale war, White continued to defend his native Donbas from the occupiers. Until his last breath, he bravely fought for Ukrainian lands. "He was a kind and selfless person in life. He went to serve under contract in 2020, and from the very beginning of the war he was at the forefront. He also helped to deliver wounded soldiers to the hospital. After being wounded in April 2022, he immediately returned to his duties, because he understood that he was needed there and his comrades-in-arms were waiting for him. He knew he might not come back, but he also understood that he needed to defend his country and his family," his sister Liubov said. The serviceman was buried in the village of Bilohorodka, Kyiv region. Vladimir left behind a mother, sisters, and a daughter.
