Hryhorii M. Kordon

Soldier Hryhoriy Kordon was killed on October 14, 2022, while performing a combat mission near the village of Novohryhorivka in Mykolaiv region. The fighter was 45 years old. Hryhoriy was born in the village of Holubivka in Vinnytsia region. He obtained a profession as a tractor driver at the Kuzminechky vocational technical school. He lived with his family in the village of Voynashivka in Vinnytsia region. He worked as a fire truck driver at "Kubylych Grain" LLC. He had an apple orchard that he loved to take care of. During the full-scale war, he joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to protect his family and country. He served in the 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Yakiv Handziuk. He was a shooter-assistant grenade launcher. "He was a kind and caring man. He took care of his children and wife. He was the best father and husband. A loyal son of his Motherland. He volunteered on the very first day of the war," said the wife of the deceased, Yuliya. "He defended the country and its citizens. He fought for the freedom and territorial integrity of Ukraine. He is a hero who gave his life for each of us. It is impossible to heal the pain and bitterness of losing a loved one, but let the bright memory of the fallen defender be stronger than death and remain forever in the hearts of relatives, friends, comrades-in-arms, and all who knew, loved, and respected him," noted the Bar City Council. The defender was buried in the village of Mizhlissya in Vinnytsia region. Hryhoriy is survived by his mother, wife Yuliya, daughter Anastasia, and sons Oleksiy and Vasyl.
