Ibrahim Z. Ozdoiev

Soldier Ibrahim Ozdoev was killed on October 1, 2022, in a battle with occupiers near the village of Khreshchenivka in the Kherson region. The warrior was 30 years old forever. Ibrahim was born in Kazakhstan. He lived in the Khmelnytskyi region since childhood. In 2008, he graduated from Vyazovets Comprehensive School of I-III levels. He got married and lived with his family in the city of Volochysk. He worked as a baker at LLC "Agrobusiness." In his spare time, he repaired chainsaws. During the full-scale Russian invasion, on March 1, 2022, Ibrahim joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade. He performed combat missions in various hot spots. "My husband was desperate and extremely kind. There was no fear, only a strong hatred for the terrorist country. He was a bright person. Very sincere and friendly, he had many friends, in the memory of whom he will forever remain the same. On October 1, at about 7:00, he called and said he would get back in touch in a few hours, but that was the last call. The next three days, when I still didn't know about my husband's death, were like hell. This was not his first assault, but it was the last... A few days before this, we talked on the phone for several hours, reminiscing about our entire life, his childhood. He kept repeating that he just wanted to come back alive... But it was not meant to be... Many comrades wrote that he had no other conversations except about his family, wife, and daughter. He talked about how he missed us... My husband fulfilled his duty to protect his state with honor! He sacrificed himself to defend our freedom! Glory to all the Heroes who gave their lives for our Ukraine! A low bow!" — said the soldier's wife, Solomiya. "Before the assault, we communicated until about three in the morning. He promised that everything would be fine, that there would be a maximum of a few wounded. I didn't know him for long, but in the last few days, we lived in the same house in Ukrainka. I remember him every day and share your grief. He was a true hero," wrote Ibrahim's comrade. The defender was buried in the city of Volochysk in the Khmelnytskyi region. At home, Ibrahim was awaited by his mother, brother, sister, wife, and daughter. A portrait of Ibrahim Ozdoev, an honorary citizen of the Volochysk community, has been installed on the Alley of Heroes on Slava Street.
