Ihor A. Shaposhnyk

Born on June 20, 1998, in the city of Kharkiv. From birth, he was an orphan. He graduated from the orphanage in the urban-type settlement of Zolochiv, Kharkiv region, and then from a vocational technical school. Since December 2016, he served under contract in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 92nd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Operational Command "East" of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0501, village of Kluhino-Bashkyrivka, Chuhuiv City Council, Kharkiv region). Since 2017, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On April 28, 2017, around 05:00, soldier Shaposhnyk was killed during a mortar shelling by Russian-terrorist groups of the positions of Ukrainian troops in the area of the city of Krasnohorivka, Marinka district, Donetsk region. On April 29, 2017, he was buried in the Alley of Glory at cemetery No. 18 in the city of Kharkiv.
